• Contract Programming:

  Currently doing contract programming and system administration for several clients, mostly PHP and postgres/mysql some ColdFusion and supporting production websites.

• Systems Administration:

  2 Years and three months as part of a team of 4 serving more than 8,000 users for a small Internet Service Provider (efn.org).

  • Host based security: packet filtering; account management; patching software in the field.
  • Network Operations: finding and diagnosing routing issues, setting up monitoring
  • Web Hosting: domain registration, DNS services, apache configuration
  • Internet Email: MTA configuration (sendmail,qmail,postfix), filtering, DNSBL services, configuring POP/IMAP services
  • Ecommerce: scripted batch credit card transactions and maintained legacy database interfaces for same
  • Mailing Lists: managed a busy mailman installation serving 18,000 subscribers, automated some functions of list management
  • Programmming: Extensive experience with Python, PHP and Perl, some experience with C, C++ and Java
  • Training: taught an introductory course on linux, and one on managing mailing lists with mailman
  • Operating Systems: Freebsd, Debian, Redhat, BSD/OS, SunOS, Windows2000

Previous Experiences

• Web Designer:

  Over 1 year of full time work as a web designer at ExperiencePlus and PCSinternet; a year and a half in LCC's CIS program studying computer science.

• Market Research

  More than 3 years of progressively more responsible Interviewing experience at Market Strategies and Griggs-Anderson. Extensive knowledge of research protocols and methods, with an emphasis on technical subjects and business respondents. Additional experience doing telemarketing.
